COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Fullerton to Play for Soccer Title

Fullerton College advanced to the finals of the MiraCosta men’s soccer tournament Saturday with victories over Mira Costa, 1-0, and Oxnard, 2-0.
Fullerton advanced to today’s championship game against American River at 2:30 p.m.
Henry Crompton scored a goal in each victory for Fullerton (3-0-2), bringing his season total to four.
At the Grossmont women’s volleyball tournament:
OCC Wins Title--Orange Coast won the championship by winning nine of 10 games in pool play. OCC’s only loss came to Cypress, 16-14.
At the Cuesta men’s water polo tournament:
Golden West Wins Title--Golden West defeated Orange Coast, 11-8, in the championship game. Rob Worthing scored two goals to lead Orange Coast to a 7-6 semifinal victory over Cuesta.
At the Bakersfield women’s soccer tournament:
OCC Women Split--Orange Coast College split matches at the Bakersfield tournament, beating American Rivers, 3-0, and losing to Cosumnes Rivers by the same score.
Kristy Hetherington had two assists for OCC (2-2-1) in the victory. OCC finished 2-2 in the tournament.
