Wahlco Goes German: Wahlco Environmental Systems Inc. said it was forming a German subsidiary to supply equipment to European power plants. The new unit will be based in Essen and be called Bachmann-H&T; Gmbh. Wahlco will own 80%; Alfred Hassdenteufel, principal shareholder of the German engineering concern H&T; Gmbh, will own the rest. Wahlco says the new unit will help the Santa Ana company penetrate the utility markets in Germany, eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. Wahlco, a maker of equipment used by power plants to reduce pollution, recently bought several British companies as part of its European expansion bid.
