Diagnosis of Dr. Davis Gig Was Dead On

Bill Kohlhaase was absolutely correct when he wrote the following in his review of the Dr. Art Davis gig at El Matador in Huntington Beach (“Dr. Davis Makes It All Better,” Aug. 24): “It was a gutsy display of skill and confidence that brought ovations from an especially attentive crowd. . . . Art Davis deserves to be heard more frequently.”
The picture of Dr. Davis by Rod Boren captures Art’s intensity as he plays. Fans of Dr. Art Davis enjoyed seeing the article and picture in the L.A. Times and hope to hear Dr. Davis more frequently.
