Another Visit to Gotham City: Batman, his feline foe Catwoman and the Gotham City bunch will go into action today when Warner Bros.’ “Batman Returns” begins production in Los Angeles. Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito and Michelle Pfeiffer will be joined by newest cast member Christopher Walken, who received an Academy Award as best supporting actor for “The Deer Hunter.” Actors Michael Gough, Pat Hingle, Michael Murphy, Vincent Schiavelli and Marlon Wayans have also been signed for the Tim Burton-directed film, scheduled for a 1992 release.
