UC San Diego named Rod Wilde men’s volleyball coach. He replaces Digger Graybill, who resigned after seven seasons to become a teacher in Washington. Wilde won national championships both as a player and coach at Pepperdine.

UCSD will face a collegiate all-star team from Great Britain in a 5 p.m. match Thursday. The Tritons, 17-3-1 in 1990, will be playing for the first time at Triton Soccer Stadium since they lost in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals last November. Admission is free.
