Hank Majeski, who had a career batting average of .279 in 13 major league seasons, died of cancer at 74. Majeski, who broke into the major leagues with the Boston Braves in 1939, also played for the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Athletics, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles.
