Everest & Jennings Cuts Losses for Quarter

Everest & Jennings International Ltd., a Camarillo-based wheelchair maker, narrowed its losses in the second quarter ended June 30 to $114,000 from a loss of $4.04 million a year earlier. Revenues, meanwhile, fell 10% to $30.6 million from $33.8 million.
For the six months ended June 30, the company reported a loss of $1.42 million, compared to an $8.15-million loss a year before. Revenues were down 9% to $60 million from $66 million.
Everest & Jennings said the narrower losses resulted from efforts to reduce costs.
