Proud of View Park Community

I hope that the reporter who interviewed Jo Ramsey regarding “A View Park Vision of Good Life” (Times, July 7) completely misunderstood and/or misquoted Ms. Ramsey.
I have lived here for 30 years, and I shop, eat, bank and entertain my friends at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. So does my family, who grew up and now lives here.
I am sure attitudes like the ones described in the article must exist. But they are the exception, not the rule. An overwhelming majority of our residents are far different from the few you wrote about.
We are proud of our community and our heritage. Our vision is very clear. We don’t just sleep here, we live here.
