A man was fatally shot while arguing with another man in Logan Heights, police said.
The victim, who has not been identified, was Latino and in his mid-20s, San Diego Police Sgt. Frank Martinez said.
According to witnesses, the man was seen in the 2500 block of L Street about 10:20 p.m. Thursday in a dispute with another man, who suddenly shot him, Martinez said.
The victim, who was hit in the chest at least once, ran for about a block and collapsed in front of a telephone booth at a gas station in the 3500 block of Imperial Avenue, Martinez said.
He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:52 p.m.
The killer was described as having collar-length black hair and a white T-shirt, Martinez said. No arrests have been made.
