Settlements continue to be built in the occupied territories. This shows that Israel and Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir, the famous Mr. No, are not interested in any peace settlement with the Palestinian people or the Arab countries. They say no to every U.S. plan.
The Israelis don’t want the United Nations to be involved. The world body was the one that established the Jewish state. It stood together against Iraq. Why it can’t do the same for Israel and force it to make peace?
