The Saddleback Community College District has two new vice chancellors.
Linda A. Kroner has been selected vice chancellor of human resources, the district’s chief personnel officer, while J. Anthony Carcamo has been named vice chancellor of fiscal services, the district’s chief financial officer. Both will be paid $84,997 annually.
Kroner, 45, has been Capistrano Unified School District’s director of employee relations for 10 years, and has held similar positions with the Los Angeles City Public Library and that city’s Public Works Department. She will assume her new position July 15.
Kroner has a bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. She replaces Maria C. Sheehan, who left Saddleback to take a similar position with the state community college chancellor’s office.
Kroner said she accepted the position because she needed a change.
“There is nothing wrong here at Capistrano, it’s just that I have worked here many years, and I thought the change would be invigorating,” she said.
Capistrano Unified has not named a replacement for Kroner.
Carcamo, 52, has been vice president of administrative services for the Monterey Peninsula Community College District in Northern California for five years. He previously was director of fiscal services for Coast Community College District and accounting manager for Long Beach City College.
He is a native of El Salvador and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cal State Long Beach. He will assume his position Aug. 12. He replaces Neil Yoneji, who accepted a similar position with the Los Angeles Community College District.
