Nancy Cushing-Jones has been named president of MCA Publishing Rights, a subsidiary of MCA/Universal Merchandising Inc., Universal City. Cushing-Jones joined MCA Inc. in 1979, where she most recently held the position of executive vice president of MCA Publishing Rights and vice president of Merchandising Corp. of America.

At the same time, Elizabeth D. Gelfand was appointed vice president of marketing and Michael Malone was named vice president of licensing at MCA/Universal Merchandising Inc. Gelfand joined Universal in 1988 as the national promotions manager for Universal Pictures. Before his appointment, Malone was director of domestic licensing.
