Macy’s Abandons Prop. 13 Appeal

Jones’ article missed the point. If the hypothetical couple in Pasadena couldn’t afford to move because of Proposition 13, then they couldn’t afford to stay in their present house if Proposition 13 were removed.
The answer is not to raise everyone to the high tax rate. The answer is to lower everyone to the lower tax rate.
