Parents ‘Crazy’ for Turning in Children

I believe the parents who turned in their children to the authorities for school vandalism in North Hollywood were crazy for doing so.
Most of us would do anything (probably short of murder--but I am not even sure of this) to keep our children out of the hands of the police, the courts and the jails. I am sure we would handle the situation as a family matter and let the chips fall where they may.
