ACHOO! Remember Bill Walters? He’s Neil Bush’s former partner who defaulted on more than $100 million in S&L; loans. After telling Congress that he was broke, it turned out that Walters was dividing his time between homes in Newport Beach, Indian Wells and Laguna Beach. Now a bankruptcy trustee says Walters has transferred as much as $21 million in assets to his wife, and continues to use the money. . . . So where did the money go? Jacqueline Walters, asked if she is paying living costs for her husband, said: “He lives in my home with me, so I pay the bills . . . I bought him some cold medicine, so I guess I am.”
