Doghouse Does Double Duty
At last! A doghouse that can have another life as a playhouse or mini-storage container. Our plan includes instructions for both the saloon and barn styles pictured.
The builder should decide beforehand what the primary use will be. For instance, the hinged top or “attic” of the barn may be used to store gardening tools, potting soil, etc., with the “main floor” a playhouse or doghouse. In either case, the hinged top makes cleaning the inside an easier and quicker job. Some may prefer a single use, eliminating the “attic” and hinged top.
The principal material used was 5/8-inch and 1/4-inch exterior grade plywood. The plan contains step-by-step pictures, exploded drawings and detailed instructions, plus full-size traceable patterns for some of the parts.
