U.S. May Suspend Iberia Landing Rights: The Transportation Department said it will suspend the Spanish airline’s right to serve New York and Miami unless Spain permits three U.S. airlines to fly to Madrid. The department was reacting to Spain’s refusal to allow American Airlines and United Airlines to fly between the United States and Madrid, “as authorized by the U.S.-Spain aviation agreement.” The spat also involves Continental Airlines.
