MISSION VIEJO : Youth Activities Contract Endorsed
- Share via
A $204,000 contract between the city and the Saddleback Valley Unified School District for youth recreation has been recommended for approval by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
A $54,000 increase over last year’s contract with the school district, the extra money would go toward increased administrative and staff costs, a special needs program and an extended summer recreation schedule.
Under the contract, the city would hire the school district to stage and promote youth activities, primarily for teen-agers. Included in the list of city-sponsored events are dances, open gyms at high schools, sports tournaments and the annual Teen Expofest.
