Bloomingdale’s Chief Announces Plans to Retire: Marvin Traub, chairman and chief executive of New York-based Bloomingdale’s department stores, officially announced that he will retire in November. Traub, 66, will be succeeded by Michael Gould, president of the fragrance firm Giorgio Beverly Hills and the former head of Los Angeles-based Robinson’s department stores. Gould, 48, will join the trendy but troubled Bloomingdale’s chain as chairman-elect on Aug. 1. He will assume his full duties on Nov. 15, upon Traub’s departure. No successor has been named at Giorgio Beverly Hills.
