But Not Everyone Is a Fan of Downey

Mike Downey should be severely reprimanded for his statement of May 8 where he said, “this (Chicago) stadium is the loudest arena since lions used Christians for a salad bar.” This statement is not only insensitive and cruel, it demands a retraction and an apology. The horrible persecution Christian martyrs went through for their faith should not be whimsical little sports page filler. What an evil shadow is cast over the L.A. Times because of Mr. Downey’s evil comment.
