Sockers Are in a Difficult Spot
Don’t be surprised if the Sockers fall behind two games to one in the MSL championship series against the Cleveland Crunch. History is not on the defending champions’ side.
The Sockers have a winning record in every series game except Game 3.
Overall, the Sockers are 9-11 in Game 3s, a .450 winning percentage. They have at least a .692 winning percentage in every other series game.
This Game 3 could play a pivotal role in the series.
“It is very important because now they have the momentum,” the Sockers’ Ben Collins said. “They already sold 15,000 tickets, so if they win, there might be even more people for Sunday (Game 4), which would make it even more difficult for us. And if we lose on Sunday, then we would have to win three in a row, and that is very hard to do.”
