Controversy Over Lomax

I applaud Lomax for standing up to the abuse and criticism being heaped upon her and for her determination to continue to serve the city and Mayor Tom Bradley as a police commissioner. Her statement on the Commentary page convinces me that she continues to be a responsible official and a truthful person.
I note the most meaningful portion of her statement: “If I failed to make a clear distinction in what I was denying (to a local television reporter), then that is my responsibility, and I regret that.”
