BankAmerica Eyeing Texas Bank: The San Francisco banking firm and some other institutions are said to be interested in possibly acquiring all or part of the ailing First City Bancorporation in Houston. A number of issues have yet to be resolved, however, such as whether federal assistance would be extended. First City was rescued in a $1.5-billion, government-assisted bailout in 1988, but the deal, headed by A. Robert Abboud, has soured. Other institutions said to be interested are Banc One, NCNB Corp. Team Bancshares Inc. and First Gibraltar Bank.
