THE ONLY THIS, THE MOST THAT

For a book in progress, I am interested in hearing about World War II-related superlatives and photos of people, equipment, and events.
For instance: the first PT boat (PT-9) in U.S. Navy service was made at Elco in Bayonne, N.J.; the last U.S. flag raised during combat was at Okinawa (it was also the closest to Japan); the only this; the most that; the least; etc.
(Among my seven previous books is the two-volume best-selling Harper & Row series “The World War II Quiz & Fact book,” and the award-winning novel “Hitler’s Daughter,” which aired as a TV movie in September.)
