Seventh-Grader Wins Top Prize at Gidley School Science Fair

Jeremy Martinez, a seventh-grader at Gidley School in the El Monte City School District, won the grand prize in the school’s annual science fair for his project, “How Is Film Affected by Radiation?”
Parthajeet Chowdhuri won first place in the eighth-grade division for “How Much Specific Heat Do Metals at the Same Temperature Contain?”
Tying for first place in the seventh-grade division were John Hake with a project on homemade batteries and Jason Smith with a project on taste buds.
