Monrovia : Home for League of Cities

Monrovia beat out Pasadena and Los Angeles to become the new home of the Southern California office of the League of California Cities, Mayor Robert Bartlett announced at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.
“It’s a tremendous coup for Monrovia,” Bartlett said. “Pasadena thought they had it sewed up.”
The league, an influential association of California’s 463 incorporated cities, will move from downtown Los Angeles to offices at 602 E. Huntington Drive in Monrovia’s high-tech redevelopment corridor next month, said Kim Chudoba, the league’s Southern California manager.
The Monrovia office was chosen because of access and cost considerations, she said.
