Case Settled: Comic actor Mario Moreno--known as Cantinflas--has settled a lawsuit filed by his longtime girlfriend, his attorney said Monday. A Houston judge last year awarded Joyce Jett of Houston $26 million, even though Moreno, 79, denied being married to her. Moreno refused to pay and countersued in Mexico, accusing Jett and her attorneys of blackmail and claiming common-law marriages are not binding there. The out-of-court settlement puts all that to rest.
