The article by Barbara Malone on Red Cloud, Neb., (“Willa Cather’s Nebraska,” April 7) caught my eye. My late grandfather, Dean Furse, was the publisher/editor of the town paper The Red Cloud Chief. The Red Cloud Chief is still owned by my grandmother, Barbara Furse and the publisher/editor credit goes to my uncle, Roger Furse.
Red Cloud is a wonderful place to visit. The people are very friendly and Red Cloud itself has beautiful blue skies and is a clean, wholesome midwest environment.
