Murdoch to Fold British Magazine: Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., which is discussing the sale of most of its U.S. magazines, said it will close one of its British magazines and was considering selling most of its other magazines in Britain. The company said it was closing the British version of Mirabella, a fashion magazine, just months after its October, 1990, launch. The company acknowledged that it was holding talks with possible buyers of its U.S. magazines, but would not confirm reports that it has agreed to sell nine for $650 million.
