A 29-year-old Canoga Park man was arrested in Simi Valley for selling a quarter of a pound of cocaine to an undercover narcotics officer, sheriff’s deputies said Saturday.
Deputies also arrested the man’s wife at the couple’s Canoga Park home and seized an additional quarter of a pound of cocaine, about $10,000 in cash and a .30-caliber rifle, Sgt. Frank O’Hanlon of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.
Daniel Coughlan was arrested at 7 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Stearns and Cochran streets in Simi Valley after he sold the cocaine to a Ventura County sheriff’s narcotics detective, O’Hanlon said.
A search warrant was then served on Coughlan’s house, where his wife, Susan, 26, also was arrested for possession of cocaine, O’Hanlon said.
They were taken to Ventura County Jail, and bail was set at $100,000 each, O’Hanlon said.
