Clapton’s Son Dies: The 4-year-old son of rock guitarist Eric Clapton was killed Wednesday after he apparently fell out the window of his family’s 53rd-floor apartment in Manhattan. Police said the boy fell from the East 57th Street apartment shortly after 11 a.m. and landed on the roof of a five-story building next door that houses the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society. The window had been opened for cleaning. The boy’s mother and a housekeeper were in the apartment when he fell, but did not witness the accident.
