Koll Will Move Newport, L.A. Offices to Long Beach Location

The Koll Co., the big Newport Beach developer, said Monday that it has combined the Newport Beach and Los Angeles offices of its construction business into a single location near Long Beach Municipal Airport.
Koll said the offices were merged for greater efficiency. The announcement comes as construction activity is declining in Southern California. Every type of construction--office, hotel, factories--was down last year in most parts of the region. And it is expected to be slow again this year.
The new office will do about $250-million worth of business, or about half of the construction firm’s annual revenues, according to the company. The new office will have 123 employees.
