Karliner Signs to Play With Mississippi

Randy Karliner of Ocean View High School has signed a letter of intent to play football at the University of Mississippi, Ronald Karliner, his father, said Tuesday.
Karliner, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback and linebacker, has been a three-year starter for the Seahawks. He was twice selected first-team all-Sunset League and was named the league’s offensive player of the year as a senior.
As a junior, Karliner guided Ocean View to the league co-championship, the school’s first football title. As a senior, he completed 99 of 201 passes for 1,351 yards and nine touchdowns as the Seahawks finished third in league play.
Karliner also plays basketball and baseball for the Seahawks.
