MEINERS OAKS : Community Regains Postal Substation
- Share via
After a seven-month wait by residents, a new postal substation will open Feb. 25 in a Meiners Oaks gift shop.
The small community has been without a postal substation since August, when the television sales business that held the substation contract with the U. S. Postal Service moved to Ventura.
Dalene Dolan, owner of the Village Tole and Gift Shop, said she will provide full postal services, except rental boxes, at 157 E. El Roblar Drive for three weeks before moving to a more convenient location. On March 15, the business will reopen at 154 E. El Roblar, where a Circle K convenience store formerly operated, Dolan said.
The hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, with Saturday service yet to be negotiated, she said.
