Some Padre Players Are Asking Too Much
Each day I become more appalled at the salary demands of some of our Padres, especially Fred McGriff and Benito Santiago. If these to “hot dogs” didn’t have the God-given talents to throw and hit a baseball, they would have trouble getting a job in a car wash.
Santiago’s wanting a salary comparable to Will Clark is about as ridiculous as comparing Roseanne Barr to Beverly Sills.
I wonder how these guys would like to be doing “squads east and west” on the Saudi Desert for a private’s pay? You tell me who the heroes are.
