Threatened Forests

We have an environmental issue in the back yard of Los Angeles that no one seems to be aware of.
More than 1,000 acres of beautiful forest in the Lake Arrowhead area are threatened with extinction by the United States Forest Service. This property in the San Bernardino National Forest is on the “exchange block.” That means that some “go-between” such as the Nature Conservancy or Trust for Public Land can acquire it and sell it to developers for building sites; and folks, let me tell you, that’s just what is happening!
What a travesty of stewardship! These beautiful wooded acres were given to all of the American people to use and enjoy forever by presidential proclamation. That’s all the people, folks, not just the developers who are putting the pressure on the Forest Service so they can acquire this beautiful land to build high-priced houses.
Save Our Forest Assn. (SOFA) thinks these lands are worth saving.
