Police Shootings
Well, it seems that “America’s Finest” have apparently done it again, this time bursting into a man’s home and shooting him dead with nary a word exchanged or any weapon in sight. And now the district attorney has indicated that he intends to exonerate the police officer who committed an equally heinous act, namely the killing of an unarmed man in his car with, according to numerous witnesses, no word of warning and little or no provocation. Again, no weapon was in evidence and no crime had been committed.
Until the district attorney, a citizen’s review board, or (is it possible?) Police Chief Bob Burgreen begin to recommend prosecution of the perpetrators of these types of crimes, we all run the risk of being summarily executed at any time, any place, by city employees, with the implied consent of the city of San Diego.
