Occidental College Adds Chemistry Chair

Occidental College has received a $1.5 million grant from the Fletcher Jones Foundation to fund the Fletcher Jones Foundation Professorship in Chemistry.
At a time when there has been a decline in undergraduate students majoring in chemistry, Occidental has had significant growth in its chemistry and biochemistry enrollment, department Chairman Donald Deardorff said.
