GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : All-Round Effort by Iwamasa Leads Edison Past Loara

Melanie Iwamasa scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds and eight assists as Edison High School defeated Loara, 66-55, Friday in the fifth-place game of Savanna girls’ basketball tournament.
Erika Miller scored 19 points and Laura Vinch 10 for Edison (8-2). Tracy Titus had 28 points and 14 rebounds for Loara (4-4).
In other Savanna tournament games:
Ocean View 67, Torrey Pines 50--Kristen McClustey scored 16 points for Ocean View.
Mission Viejo 47, Trabuco Hills 35--Kelly McGlothlin scored 17 points, and Kendra Okura added 15 for Mission Viejo (4-3).
In El Dorado tournament:
Canyon Country Canyon 57, El Dorado 49--Canyon outscored El Dorado, 26-11, in the fourth quarter as Cyna Schuster scored 10 of her 21 points, and Katrina Musingo scored nine of her 15 points in the quarter in a semifinal game.
Briana Yoshina had 17 points, and Erin Vessey had 11 for El Dorado (2-2).
In the Santa Ana Valley tournament:
University 47, Inglewood 28--Tara Wolff scored 18 points for University (3-4) in a consolation bracket game.
