Prince Johannes von Thurn und Taxis, 64, one of Europe’s richest men. Descended from a family which founded the German postal system five centuries ago, the prince owned vast stretches of land, breweries, 50 companies, Europe’s largest privately owned forest, a bank, several castles and apartment buildings.
