Ethics Hearings and Cranston

To my mind, the trouble with Sen. Daniel Inouye’s (D-Hawaii) statement as quoted in The Times (Dec. 4) that the “Keating Five are guilty only of fighting for a constituent with ‘vigor and aggressiveness’ ” fails to recognize that senators are elected to represent all their constituents, not a constituent.
I would hope that my elected representatives are looking at all of the facts of any issue and then making decisions which are in the best interests of all. Then I, too, would never find any official wanting in honesty and integrity.
