MILWAUKEE — Ricky Pierce scored 14 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter Sunday night as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Seattle SuperSonics, 105-99, and tied a team record with a 10-0 start at home.
Milwaukee, also 10-0 at home in 1984-85, trailed, 72-71, after three quarters before Pierce led a 13-2 run to start the fourth quarter.
Pierce took a pass from Alvin Robertson for a layup, Robertson stole the ball and dunked to start a three-point play and Pierce hit a jump shot, putting the Bucks ahead, 78-72.
After a Sonic basket, the Bucks scored the next six points, four by Pierce, and led, 84-74, with 9:11 to go.
Seattle closed to 103-99 with 12 seconds left on a dunk by Shawn Kemp, who led the Sonics with a career-high 31 points. But Pierce made two free throws two seconds later to seal the victory.
Robertson added 19 points and Dan Schayes a season-high 17 for the Bucks, who tied Detroit for the Central Division lead at 14-6. Derrick McKey added 19 points for the Sonics.
