ANAHEIM : Boy Running Across Street Is Hit, Killed

A 7-year-old boy was killed Sunday when he tried to run across Lincoln Avenue and was struck by an oncoming car, police said.
Anaheim police identified the boy as Martin Brown, who lived within a few blocks of the accident. The driver of the car was not cited after investigators said they determined no wrongdoing on his part.
Police said the victim and his brother were walking home about 5:10 p.m. when they ran northbound across the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue, near East Street, into the path of the car.
The boy was taken by ambulance to UCI Medical Center’s trauma center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead.
