Getting there: Air service to Durango’s La Plata County Airport is direct from Denver on Continental Express or United Express, on Mesa Airlines from Albuquerque or on America West from Phoenix.
There is air service to Telluride on Continental Express or United Express from Denver, Mesa Airlines from Albuquerque or Phoenix. Sky West has nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Telluride on Wednesday and Saturday, beginning next Saturday and continuing to April 1. Lowest round-trip fare is $421.
The closest airport to Wolf Creek is Durango, where rental cars are available.
Lift tickets: Telluride skiing: (800) 525-3455 or (303) 728-4424. Telluride’s 1990-91 lift-ticket prices are $36 for adults; $26 for half-day; children, $18 a day; skiers 65-69, $20; over 70 and under 5, free. Discount packages available.
Wolf Creek Ski Area: (303) 731-5605 or (505) 984-8737. Adult lift tickets, $24; $17 for half-day; skiers over 65 and children 6-12, $12; children under 6, $5.
