Walnut : Goods for Troops Sought

Residents of Walnut have launched “Operation Home Front” to send donations to U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia. Games, music videos and cassettes, radios, reading material, writing supplies and sports equipment may be taken to the Walnut Sheriff’s Station, 21695 E. Valley Blvd., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Donations will be shipped to the troops through the USO in Long Beach. The project will continue until at least the middle of January.
