Arcadia : 8-Foot Card Sent to Troops

USO-Greater Los Angeles has shipped an 8-foot holiday card, signed by 10,000 shoppers at Santa Anita Fashion Park, to U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf.
Most of the messages written during the 10-day “Operation Holiday Cheer” expressed gratitude to the troops and hope for their early return.
About 70,000 people signed small versions of the card, which were circulated to schools, businesses and service organizations in the western San Gabriel Valley.
