Grant Injured in Clipper Loss

SAN JOSE — Mitch Richmond scored 27 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 122-114 exhibition victory over the Clippers Monday night.
Clipper point guard Gary Grant left the game late in the third quarter after spraining his left ankle, the same ankle he broke last February, forcing him to miss the rest of the season.
Charles Smith led the Clippers with 41 points. Chris Mullin scored 25 points and Tim Hardaway added 20 for the Warriors, who had six players score in double figures.
Golden State ended the exhibition season at 5-2. The Clippers were 2-6
