Pacific Enterprises: The Los Angeles-based energy and retailing company reported net income of $60 million for the third quarter, up 22% from a year ago. Operating revenue was $1.63 billion, up 4%. “Third-quarter results were helped by the continued strong performance of our utility, Southern California Gas Co., and the higher oil prices realized by our oil and gas subsidiary,” said Chairman James R. Ukropina.
