Four UCI Players Survive Qualifying

Four UC Irvine tennis players advanced on Wednesday to the main draw of the Rolex-ITCA Southern California Regional championships at Irvine.
Courtney Weichsel, Maggie Powers, Michelle Foster and Biljana Korac each won two qualifying matches to move into the 64-player main draw, which starts today at UCI. Ali Yoshimoto, who automatically qualified for the main draw, will play Barbara Thompson of Arizona State at 9:30 a.m. today.
Two Anteater doubles teams, Yoshimoto-Foster and Kelly Goldsborough-Jennifer Mazgedian, also won qualifying matches.
