Parking Bans Shortened

One of the most griped-about policies in Hermosa Beach--the four-hour, no-parking zones throughout the city on street-sweeping days--was eased this week by the City Council, which voted to shorten the weekly ban to two hours.
City staff members said the change probably won’t take place until January. Drivers whose cars block sweepers face an $18 fine.
